Celebrating 26 in Dublin.
I'm coming on nearly three years in Dublin but only having my second birthday celebration in the city. I'm pretty much a homebody, so going out every weekend isn't something I'm used to. I have a few places in Dublin that I like, but you're not likely to catch me out any night of the week.
Of course, staying home all weekend isn't a very fun birthday activity so my husband did manage to drag me out of the house for a bit of fun on the town.
First things first, we had a lovely brunch at Nolita. The interiors were amazing (it's the first photo in the set). There was a vintage feel to the place and the atmosphere was super laid back. The service was great, food was filling. I definitely recommend Nolita.
After a bit of shopping, we stopped into Hogans for one drink. Again, the vibe was super relaxed and a little bit vintage. I took a photograph of the interior of this bar as well because I was SO obsessed with the richness and moodiness of the colours inside.
Much later, my husband guided me aboard to the MV Cill Airne for dinner. We have this thing about boat restaurants. We've been going to them for years and always have a nice time. I had a lamb that was truly to die for. 10/10 would go back.
Post dinner drinks saw us make our way toward The Docklands, stopping in a few places on the way there and back.
I had a really great weekend. Dublin definitely is not cheap but it's always good for a night out when you're celebrating.
