5 Great Podcasts For Your Morning Commute
One of my favourite rituals involves listening to podcasts first thing in the morning. It helps wake my brain up, catches me up on what I've missed, and keeps me entertained during my other morning activities. Because I find them endlessly entertaining, I thought I'd highlight five shows I've really been enjoying during my downtime, while commuting, and even when I'm doing chores.

Today, Explained takes the day's biggest headlines and breaks them down into really digestible briefings. Everything from congressional hearings to international events gets equal billing on this surprisingly entertaining current events podcast. If it's dominating the headlines, Today Explained will have a thorough take on it.

The Hackable podcast gives listeners everything they wanted (and didn't want) to know about cybersecurity. While this pod does tend to give me the heebie jeebies about online safety, the subjects are always topical and fascinating. Plus, you usually come away feeling smarter and more informed about your digital well being.

Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend
I've been a Conan fan since I was a kid. So, when I found out he was getting a podcast, I knew I was going to be an instant fan. On the show, Conan speaks to people he's encountered and interviewed over the years, but never gotten close to. Conan has on tons of guests like Lisa Kudrow and Jeff Goldblum. It's a barrel of laughs.

Dr. Death
I'm definitely someone who has trouble listening to graphic content but I found Dr. Death absolutely engrossing. Dr. Death is the TRUE dark story of Christopher Daniel Duntsch, a Dallas based doctor who injured his patients though unbelievably negligent acts. Warning for anyone who is squeamish, Dr. Death is definitely a difficult listen but one you won't be able to put down.
