My 'Linked In' internet series is dead. Long live 'Peak of The Week'.
This is a change in name only. I still want to highlight the best stuff I've seen on the internet over the past seven days but wanted to try something a bit jazzier, name-wise.
Without further ado, here are some of the more interesting bits of content I consumed on the internet this week.
"I found the Best Burger place in America. And Then I Killed It"
Kevin Alexander wrote a great piece for Thrillist about how he crowned a burger joint in Portland, Oregon "The Best Burger In America" and five months later it was shut down.
The piece talks about our obsession with lists as well as some of the circumstances that prompted the restaurant with "the best burger in America" to shut its doors. Fascinating read!
Reply All podcast #131: Surefire Investigations
Reply All is one of my favourite podcasts to listen to. The most recent episode, about the ill-conceived J*cob W*hl Surefire situation is truly a work of art.
The new Normani song "Waves"
I'm loving Normani's solo work at the moment. Her latest collaboration with 6LACK is my favourite thing to come from the talented young singer so far.
Patriot Act on Netflix: Supreme
Hasan Minhaj's Netflix show Patriot Act is one of the best new shows on the streaming platform. This past week he discussed the streetwear retailer Supreme and it was absolutely fascinating.
Alexander Skarsgård on Swedish slang
I love Alexander Skarsgård. I think he's so unbelievably talented. He discussed Swedish slang and it was really great and wholesome.
