So I was going through the new music on YouTube's music trending section earlier this week. I think it's one of YouTube's better features (especially on mobile) and they do a fairly decent job of showing you stuff you'll *probably* like. They don't always get it right but they do occasionally get it right.
When I saw Anne-Marie all up in my recommendations I thought I would press play even though I'd never heard of her. I listened to "Alarm" and I really was a fan at first listen.
The production is really on trend (Caribbean inspired trap vibes), her voice sounds great, loving the visuals. Only the qualm I have about this particular song is that it's a but Jessie J-ish which is...not ideal. I'm sure that's something she can iron out though.
I did some digging around and she's got another great release that got visuals early this year. Definitely one to watch.
