Any time I get to hear a morsel of new music from Wafia my inner (and outer) music geek goes into overdrive. I’m not sure what it is about Wafia but her music always has the ability to get me psyched. Wafia’s newest offering, a cover of Let Me Love You by Mario, is a sweet take on the popular noughties anthem. Very much in the style of female singer covers R&B classic, Wafia’s voice is feminine and subdued. I’ve always got time for female artists covering R&B songs and this is no exception.
