I, like so many, have been patiently awaiting the return of London Grammar for what seems like forever. The three-piece have kept a relatively low profile since their 2013 debut, If You Wait, but now seemed poised for a 2017 return.
"Rooting For You" is a comeback record very much in the style of London Grammar. Moving and soothing all in one, Hannah Reid's unique and untouched vocals on this record remind us exactly why London Grammar were among the most hyped bands of 2013.
There is a unique tension that accompanies every note of "Rooting For You", ebbing and flowing with the melody of Hannah's moving requiem.
I can't tell you how excited I am for a record from these guys this year. Hannah is an incredible talent and I am too ready for them to be my back on my radar.
