This Week's New Music: RATED

Here we go, kids.

The Weeknd - Starboy (Album) [6/10]

The second half Starboy shines brighter than the first. Unfortunately, it falls flat from a lyrical standpoint (although Abel has never been known as king lyricist). "Secrets" is worth a listen. I'll say that. "Stargirl Interlude" is also wonderful.

Cabbage - Terrorist Synthesizer (EP) [7.5/10]

Raucus, 90s/early 2000s throw back vibes. Definitely worth a listen

G-Eazy - Bone Marrow ft. Danny Seth [5/10]

The bars aren't good enough and the beat isn't good enough. Overall it's not good enough. G-Eazy has never blown me away, really. Shout out to artists from the Bay, though.

Rationale - Prodigal Son [9/10]

Lyrically, musically, and vocally, Rationale's Prodigal Son is this week's winner. It's glittering, well crafted, and stunningly performed.

Parcels - Older [8/10]

Really easy to listen to, accessible hooks and choruses, and not dull from a composition standby. Good listen.
