This Week's New Music: RATED

You know the drill. If there's new music, I'm reviewing it.

Bon Iver - 22, A Million (Album) [8/10]

Bon Iver never disappoints. 22, A Million's emotional beats shine through the digital distortion that make this record a standout among Justin Vernon's discography.

Solange - A Seat At The Table (Album) [ 9/10]

A Seat At The Table is beautiful. It's tender and deliberate.

The Chainsmokers ft. Phoebe Ryan - "All We Know" [5/10]

This sounds too similar to "Closer"--a song that has been entirely overplayed. They could have kept this one.

Niall Horan - "This Town" [1/10]

Not good.

Cashmere Cat ft. Selena Gomez and Tory Lanez [6.5/10]

This track would be way more viable if Tory Lanez wasn't on it.

BANKS - The Altar (Album) [8/10]

BANKS is usually really hit or miss for me, but I think she's done a great job on The Altar. There are some real standouts on this record and, in terms of pop voices making consistantly good music, she certainly is at the front of the line.
