Fazerdaze.

If you haven’t heard Fazerdaze’s EP, Fazerdaze EP, then what are you waiting for? I came across the New Zealand based musician by accident a few nights ago and I became obsessed. I went to bed thinking about writing this review and made firm plans to have ‘Jennifer’ in my ‘Song of The Week’ section.

Fazerdaze is perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Hazy guitar riffs and dreamy vocals pull you into a far away world. At a length of six tracks, Fazerdaze is healthy for an EP. Varied song structure and addictive hooks grab you and threaten to never let you go. Each song is gripping from the onset and her songwriting ability is accessible and engaging.

The song structure on many of the tracks is simple and unobtrusive enough to wield that DIY charm that usually draws me to an artist like Fazerdaze. If you’re not already listening,  then you really should be.
